“Integrated Territorial Synergies for Children Health and Protection ΙΙ - INTERSYC II” project kicks off in Thessaloniki

The kick-off meeting of the Cross-border European Territorial Cooperation project entitled "Integrated Territorial Synergies for Children Health and Protection ΙΙ - INTERSYC II" was held in Thessaloniki on 9 December. The meeting was organized by “The Smile of the Child”, lead partner of the project which is funded by the European Territorial Cooperation Programme “Interreg V-A Greece -Bulgaria” 2014-2020.

Members of the scientific personnel of “The Smile of the Child” as well as representatives of the following partner organizations from Greece and Bulgaria participated in the meeting: Municipal Development Agency οf Komotini Municipality, Nadja Centre Foundation, Sandanski Branch and Regional Inspectorate of Education – Blagoevgrad and a member of the Joint Secretariat of “Interreg V-A Greece –Bulgaria 2014-2020”.

The meeting offered the opportunity to participants to discuss on working sessions related to the project’s scope & objectives, the work packages and the involvement of each partner, the detailed budget’s execution and the implementation of the Preventive Medicine Action in Greece that will take place throughout 2018. The project’s communication and dissemination and administrative and financial management of the project were also analysed and participants worked together to determine the next steps of the implementation.

The project’s duration is 24 months and it aims at protecting and improving the quality of life of children in the cross-border area.
