31st Annual General Assembly for "The Smile of the Child" and Election of New Board of Directors

On March 22, 2026, the 31st General Assembly of the members of the Organization "The Smile of the Child" took place, along with the vote to elect the Board of Directors, as stipulated by the Articles of Association.

"The Smile of the Child" warmly welcomed its members from all over Greece to its Nationwide Coordination Operations Center in Agia Paraskevi. The President and the members of the Board of Directors presented in detail the Organization's achievements for the past year and its plans for 2026.

The General Assembly was the ideal opportunity for the Organization's members—people standing by "The Smile," who share a common vision and goals and who always remain united in every difficulty—to meet and exchange views.

The 31st General Assembly concluded with everyone's commitment that "The Smile of the Child" will continue its important and essential work for every child and family in Greece without interruption.

As stipulated by the Articles of Association, a vote followed to elect the Organization's Board of Directors for the next three-year term.

The composition of the Board of Directors following its constitution is:

·        Konstantinos Giannopoulos, Retired, President

·        Konstantinos Kotsilinis, Certified Public Accountant, Business Consultant, Vice President

·        Vasileios Orfanos, Business Consultant, General Secretary

·        Evangelia Malamaki, Retired Mathematics Teacher, Treasurer

·        Panagiotis Anastasiadis, Professor of Lifelong and Distance Education using ICT in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete, Member

·        Evangelia Karpouzopoulou, Preschool Teacher, Member

·        Antonios Tsimpoukis, Managing Director Cisco, Member

·        Alexandros Bechrakis, Managing Director DIGITAL REALTY HELLAS, Member

·        Evangelos Papalios, Journalist, Publisher, Member

·        Aikaterini Choupi, Advertising Professional, Designer, Member

Each of the above individuals is a remarkable person with a significant personal and professional trajectory; people who actively participate in the Organization and contribute to its work, including through their professional training and expertise, while simultaneously guaranteeing transparency and safeguarding the quality of services provided to every child and family in the country.
