Little Georgia is 11 years old and lives in Agrinio with her 13-year-old brother, Giannis, and their parents. She suffers from muscular dystrophy, a rare genetic condition that requires ongoing medical care and monitoring.
Every week, Georgia travels with her mother to Athens in order to receive special treatment at a public hospital. The situation is both physically and financially demanding for the entire family.
Her father works for a very low salary and her mother is unemployed, totally devoted to caring for Georgia. At the same time, Giannis, an adolescent, needs support, tutoring, extracurricular activities and – mainly – a feeling of security and stability.
What we need:
- With your help, we can cover:
- The transportation and accommodation expenses for Georgia’s weekly treatments in Athens
- Medical equipment, medications and consumables
- Main necessities for the family (food, school supplies, basic goods)
- Giannis’s learning, creativity and recreation needs
Our goal: 8,000€ for 12 months of support
This amount will ensure a year of dignified living for Georgia and her family, relieving them of daily anxiety and giving them the strength to go on.
