Together let's support little Sofia

Sofia is 5 years old and, for the last 2 years, following the sudden death of her mother, she has been living with her grandma and grandpa, since her daddy, who could not bear the loss of his wife but also the difficulty of raising a small child with diabetes, left the home.

The grandma and grandpa have been trying to provide her with everything she needs, but their only steady income is grandpa’s pension. After a call to the National Helpline SOS 1056 for Children, our common journey began. All of their needs for food, clothing, medications, medical supplies, school supplies, are also our needs. Together we visit the pediatrician and together we enrolled her in kindergarten. And our relationship doesn’t end there…our psychologist is by the side of the little girl and the grandparents each time they lose heart.

We meet regularly every month; the conversations, the directions, the advice, the encouragement, the support, all continue by telephone.

As we approach Easter, our concern is for Sofia to enjoy the holidays as every child is entitled to, with her Easter candle, new shoes, sitting around a beautiful Easter dinner table. All of this is for her to build the most amazing holiday memories.
