It has a high fever, is having difficulty breathing and needs immediate specialized medical care.
Every minute is critical.
Until just a few years ago, Crete did not have a specialized mobile unit for the transfer of newborns in an incubator.
Transport was carried out without the appropriate equipment, without the conditions required for the safe transfer of such a small child.
Today, two specialized Mobile Medical Units with incubators for newborns, based in Chania and Heraklion, cover every part of Crete.
With modern equipment and experienced rescuers, they are by the side of every infant and small child that needs immediate transport.
For a newborn, a transfer is not just a route.
It is the difference between safety and danger.
The difference between a healthy start in life and a start with irreparable consequences.
In order to be able to respond to every emergency, we need your support.
