Manos was born prematurely, at just 34 weeks, in a mountain village in Greece. His premature birth seriously affected his health, and today, almost two years later, he faces respiratory difficulties and hemiplegia. He needs daily physiotherapy, occupational therapy, regular medical monitoring, and specialised equipment.
To ensure he could access the care he needs, his mother had no choice but to leave their home and move to a major city with her two children. Their father had to stay behind, unable to abandon the land they depend on as their family's only source of income.
His sister, Zoe, was just four years old. Alongside her mother and little brother, she had to leave behind everything familiar. A place to live, childcare, therapies, medical supplies, and transportation have now become essential needs for the family.
Manos needs care to keep moving forward.
Zoe needs the freedom to simply be a child.
And their mother needs to know she is not alone.
