“The Smile of the Child” met today with the European Ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly along with other civil society organizations in the framework of her official visit in Greece from 20 to 22 February 2018.
During a press conference, which was hosted at the Information Office of the European Parliament in Greece, Emily O’Reilly informed the participants on the role of the European Ombudsman sharing examples of the nature of cases that she investigates and highlighting the importance of her institutional role in the framework of the need to ensure transparency and proper administration for the benefit of the European citizens.
The European Ombudsman cooperates among others with the Greek Ombudsman in the framework of the more recent migration and refugee crisis on matters related to the Greek and European authorities and institutions.
