The Ambassador of Germany to Greece visits “The Smile of the Child” and gets acquainted with its actions for children

On the 26th of April the President of the BoD of “The Smile of the Child” and its staff welcomed at the premises of the Organization in Athens HE the Ambassador of Germany to Greece Mr. Jens Plötner and staff of the Εmbassy.
Mr. Plötner and his delegation had the opportunity to visit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of the Organization and get acquainted with the actions of the Organization for the protection of children, and more specifically for children at immediate risk, through the operation of the 1056, 116000 and 116111 lines and the activation of the Amber Alert mechanism.
A visit to one of our Homes for children followed, where the Ambassador met our children as well as the scientific staff of the Organization. Mr. Plötner was impressed by the work of “The Smile of the Child” and particularly with the family and caring environment of its Homes based on a mixed model of alternative care.
