A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between “The Smile of the Child” and “Apprentis d’ Auteuil” during the visit of the President of the BoD of the Greek Organization, Costas Yannopoulos and the Head of International Cooperation, Ambassador (H), Marc Van den Reeck at the premises of the French Organization in Paris on 6 December 2017.

“Apprentis d'Auteuil” is one of largest and oldest Organizations in France in the field of child protection and child care, established in 1866. On the occasion of this visit, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding paved the way for an intense cooperation not only for both organizations, but also between Greece and France.

“The Smile of the Child” and its new partner Organization are committed to join forces and, to this effect, concrete plans were already outlined during this visit. The cooperation between the two Organizations will include study visits with professionals and educational exchanges of young volunteers and children, as well as joint initiatives of advocacy to promote the vision and values that the two Organizations deeply share.

The visit of “The Smile of the Child” to some of the homes and day care centers of Apprentis d'Auteuil have effectively highlighted the impressing strong similarities in the approach of the French and Greek partners, as both focus heavily on quality, holistic and integration oriented solutions for preventive and protective child care.
