Panagiotis is only 5 years old and the youngest member of a five-person family from a village in Trikala. For the past two years, he has been bravely fighting a severe form of brain tumor. This battle requires him to be continuously present in a hospital in Athens, which has put the family in a difficult financial and practical situation.
The father is the sole wage earner, as the mother stays constantly by Panagiotis' side, making daily life even more challenging for both the little hero and his two older siblings.
"The Smile of the Child" supports the family in various ways: it covers Panagiotis' medical expenses, provides essential goods, ensures safe transportation, offers an apartment for the times he must stay in Athens, supports the educational needs of his two older siblings, and provides psychological support to all family members.
However, Panagiotis is not the only child in need. He is one of seven families we support holistically—and you can help them too!
