Hellenic Integration Support for Beneficiaries of International Protection"

The provision of medical and psychosocial support to refugee and migrant children in Greece is one of the important activities of our Organization. In cooperation with IOM Greece and with the support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union #AMIF #DGHOME #EUHome Affairs "The Smile of the Child" continues to contribute to the provision of holistic medical support to children with high medical needs and their families.
From May to November 2020, the qualified medical staff and social workers of the Organization supported 189 children with serious health problems. Within the framework of the “HELIOS- Hellenic Integration Support for Beneficiaries of International Protection" Project, 4.037 medical and psychosocial interventions took place, i.e. pediatric home treatment, medical and nursing care and physiotherapy, social and psychological support and counselling, transfer from/to hospitals, etc.
