Our community home in Corfu
Our community home in Corfu is not a simple house but ... a beautiful farm!
The farm, were given to us by the charitable brotherhood of Magoulades. The
estate is from 1730.
The community home opened its doors in 2001.
The house is located in a great area, which is mostly covered by olive trees and
other trees. The farm also has many animals (ostriches, deer, horses, chickens,
dogs, rabbits, etc.). The Monastery "Assumption of the Virgin" and its grange
“the Apostles” dominate the landscape, emphasising the tradition and history of
many centuries.
Today, 21 children, aged 4.5-20 years, are growing up in the community home.
Beside to the children there is a specialized team, in total 21 people, which
consist of 12 pedagogues, one teacher, three drivers, one cook, one social
worker, one health visitor, one psychologist and one employee generalists and
farm manager.
