Urgent need for equipment for our Search Team

Our adorable "Joanna", today 12 years old, gave a big scare to her family last Christmas. It is difficult to discern that she is in the autism spectrum. Every week she takes classes in a special treatment center. On the way to such a regular session a year ago, her mother suddenly lost sight of her. She called us on SOS 1056 in panic. We immediately activated the Amber Alert, the motorized police (“Dias” team) rushed there, and we the Search & Rescue Team "Thanasis Makris" arrived immediately to start looking for the child with the help of our trained dogs. Our psychologist supported the mother right from the beginning to help her get over the shock and provide precious information: the mother explained that the little one loves buses. This information was transmitted asap to all bus drivers in the area by their supervisor. The supervisor soon called us to report that a bus driver spotted the little one in his vehicle, and quickly brought her back into her mother's arms.
