Partner in the project “Nothilfe für Flüchtline und Asylsuchende in Serbien und Griechenland” with financial support by the German Government/ Foreign Office in Berlin (under the German Humanitarian Assistance fund) (2016)

The project «Emergency aid for refugees and asylum seekers in Serbia and Greece» has an 8 month duration and aims to provide services to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece in the framework of humanitarian aid. The project is financed from the German Government/ Foreign Office in Berlin. Leader is the Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. and partners are Greek Council for Refugees and Antigone - Information and Documentation Center on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non Violence.

The project’s activities include:

  • To improve the health conditions of refugee children that live in the camps of Attiki, Thessaloniki, Kilkis etc. by providing timely access to hospitals
  • To provide relief aid to 2.300 children (unaccompanied and with families) in Attica and 4.800 children in Thessaloniki.
  • To provide social counselling for refugee families
  • To raise awareness of the society of the refugee crisis
